Indagaremos en el día a día de la juventud, en sus valores, ideales, deseos y esperanzas tanto a nivel individual como en cuanto a la generación que representan. Queremos saber cuáles son sus intereses y sus necesidades y además nos gustaría descubrir su grado de compromiso y responsabilidad como ciudadanos europeos. Comparando las distintas realidades los jóvenes serán más conscientes de lo necesaria que es la unión para construir una base sólida sobre la que levantar una Europa fuerte con ciudadanos comprometidos y entusiastas.

Objetivos: - Estudiar la cultura de los jóvenes en distintos países europeos *qué valores, creencias, ideales, deseos y esperanzas guían y afectan a sus vidas, * cómo los jóvenes se relacionan con los demás: con la familia, con los amigos y con la sociedad * de qué formas diferentes se expresan los jóvenes; lengua, literatura, música, moda, arte* cómo la juventud utiliza los medios informativos * cómo los jóvenes conciben su papel como ciudadanos en sus países y también internacionalmente * cómo ven el papel que desempeñan como ciudadanos europeos. - Concienciar a los estudiantes de las diferencias y similitudes para un mayor entendimiento entre las diferentes culturas y una mayor tolerancia y respeto - Comprender: * los principios y valores de la U.E. *cómo los actuales retos a los que se enfrenta la U.E. les afectan e influencian sus vidas * comprender qué significa formar parte de la Unión Europea (emigración/inmigración, empleo, programas de intercambio para los jóvenes) - Desarrollar la competencia lingüística en ingles, mejorar el uso de herramientas TIC, conocer los demás sistemas educativos y compartir los métodos y estrategias de trabajo con los demás.
Procedimiento de trabajo: Manejo de las herramientas TIC, elaboración y evaluación de cuestionarios, diseño de un logo para el proyecto, composición de un hymno, realización de un booklet sobre las expectativas de estudios y trabajo, búsqueda de expresiones de arte callejero en Europa y de otras demostraciones artísticas, organización de una exposición itinerante.
Resultados previstos: vídeos, chats, exposiciones, un musical, un corto, un e-book o un booklet.
We look into the present-day youth, their values, ideals, hopes and fears both as individuals and as a generation; particular interest is put on special needs students. We want to understand how they see themselves, their commitment and responsibility as both national and European citizens. By contrasting their self-perception with the ones of their peers, youths become more aware of what they have in common and thereby unites them. This is indispensible for building a common ground from which to move on and build a Europe of enthusiastic and politically committed citizens.

Objectives: To learn about the present-day youth culture in different European countries: * what values, beliefs, ideals, hopes and fears guide or affect their lives * how youngsters relate to others: family, friends, community * how different youth culture present/express themselves; language, literature, music, fashion, the arts * how youth use the media; * how youth see their role as national and European citizens - To make students aware of cultural differences/similarities, thus fostering cultural understanding, tolerance and respect for others, also special needs students - To understand: * the principles and values the EU stands for * the present-day challenges the European Union is facing and how/whether they affect/influence their lives * To understand what it means to live within the European Union (emigration/immigration, work, Youth Exchange programmes) - To accomplish the objectives previously stated, all participants will also: * Develop their language skills in English/ other national languages and ICT skills * Learn about different school systems/curricula * Share work methods/strategies/good practices with one another
